I know, smoothies are like the easiest food you can prepare and all you need is the right combination of ingredients. This one is my favourite right now - it is not a sweet treat and you'll not crave for something salty afterwards, it is just right for breakfast and has the most amazing, velvety texture. Thanks to my lovely cousin who shared this recipe with me.
- 1 Avocado
- 1 Apple (the sweeter the apple, the sweeter the smoothie, but any kind will do it's job)
- Fresh ginger to taste (you can also use 1 tsp of ginger powder, but I prefer fresh)
- 1 Cup of unsweetened almond milk (sometimes I use Rice and Coconut milk mixture)
- 1 tbs of linseeds/flaxseeds
- Pine nuts for topping
Everything goes to the food processor except for ginger. If used fresh, I grind it and use only the juice of it, the rest goes to waste. Be careful with the amount of ginger juice as it becomes bitter if you use too much.
